Quotes

I really like quotes because they can transmit a thought in various different ways. For example, quotes make you think about something in a way you wouldn't have thought about it before. So this quote "I want to be remembered as the girl who always smiles when her heart is broken. and the one that could always brighten up your day even if she couldn't brighten her own." transmits a special meaning once you read it first, but as you get into the quote and you start reflecting on the meaning, you get a whole different perspective. To me what the quote is saying is that even though you are having a difficult time you should try to make it a happy moment for others, not letting your disappointment disappoint others and if every single person did this, it would be a wonderful environment to live in. As you transit a smile to some one and a smile is transmitted back, it affects you, in a good way, it helps cure a part of your heart.

The Voice

At the moment there are many singing competitions on TV. But I do have to say The Voice is my favorite. What I really like about it is that competitors are judged based on their voice and not on their looks. The Voice has 4 judges consisting on Christina Aguilera, Adam Levine, Cee Lo Green and Blake Shelton.

Christina Aguilera is known for a great voice. She even has a star in the Hollywood Walk of Fame. She has been nominated for soooooo many awards, they won't fit in this post, so here is the link where you can see all the awards she has been nominated for and which ones she has won. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_awards_and_nominations_received_by_Christina_Aguilera

Adam Levine is current lead singer in the band Maroon 5. He is also well known for his current top song Moves Like Jagger featuring his band Maroon 5 and Christina Aguilera.

Cee Lo Green is also a singer, song writer, rapper and music producer. His instant hit is the song Forget You. To see all the awards his has been nominated for and won, I'll link the website here. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cee_Lo_Green#Awards_and_nominations

Blake Shelton is a country singer and married to Miranda Lambert. To see the awards his been nominated for and the ones he has won you can check out this website --> http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blake_Shelton#Awards_and_nominations

Christmas Reindeer

I absolutely adore christmas time. All the lights, decorations and jolly times. But  one of my absolute favorite things is, the desserts. This year I had the opportunity to create some reindeer cupcakes. I have to say I am super duper proud of the outcome. They looked store bought, but they are 100% home made! I had a lot of fun baking and decorating this cupcakes and can't wait to do another seasonal cupcake.

Taste the Rainbow

One of my favorite past times is baking, especially baking cupcakes. Last week I made rainbow cupcakes for a friends birthday. I have to say I am very proud of how they turned out. What I did was that first, I took a white betty crocker cake batter and mixed as instructed. Then, I divide the batter into 6 different containers. After that, I used food coloring to tint each container into a different rainbow color. Next, I started placing the batter into the cupcake liners in rainbow order. Finally I put them in the oven and a wonderful creation came out.

Nails

When I was younger I didn't like the thought of my nails being painted, but as I grew my opinions changed and now painting my nails is a hobby of mine. I really like recreating looks and as well creating my own. For christmas I recreated my nails to look like christmas lights! Adding on, I really like dark colors for my nails such as a dark purple. Finally, I really like the upcoming new colors for spring such as cute as a button from Essie, from OPI's spring collection I really like Thanks a Windmillion and Vampsterdam.

DIY

I  absolutely love making DIY things. Today, I am going to show how I made my own scarf made out of an old t-shirt. I really like this t-shirt scarf because it is done out of things that you can find at home. For example, an old t-shirt. You might've thought about throwing it out but think about, you can reuse it and make a totally cool scarf.

Materials:
-Old or new cotton T-shirt (preferably 100% cotton)
-Scissors (or any other material to cut the shirt)

Steps:
1. Make sure you have all your materials laid out in a flat surface.
2. Cut your t-shirt from arm pit to arm pit.
3. Put away they top part of the shirt, we won't be using it again.
4. Place your shirt so that the part you cut is to the left and the side hems of your shirt are on the top and bottom.
5. Start cutting 1/2 inch strips starting from the bottom side hem, going up and stopping 1 inch away from the top hem.
6. Cut off the entire bottom hem of the shirt.
7. Start pulling down the strips you cut by alternating (one yes, one no) them.
8. Pull together the '1 inch' section of the 'necklace'.
9. Using the bottom hem of the shirt tie the top of the necklace (where all the 1 in section is)

Jane by Design

I just started watching this new ABC Family series called Jane by Design. The series is about a girl, Jane, living a double life. First, she aces her internship in Donovan Decker, a fashion house. But she gets mistaken as an adult so she has to juggle High School and High Fashion without failing. Her fashion boss, Gray, is the typical mean boss, but also has soft spots. Au contraire, she is dealing with the stressful life of high school.

The Lost Symbol by Dan Brown

Recently I have been reading the book The Lost Symbol by Dan Brown. To be honest it is a really interesting book full of knowledge and mystery. It takes a great mind like Dan Brown's to create this type of books, they take great strategy to build up a mystery like this. Following Robert Langdon's adventure really builds up an interest and attraction to the book. In addition the book is written with great detail that the whole entire book takes time in one night, with a few flashbacks. This has definitely need to be one of my favorites books.

New York, Paris, London

London, Paris, New York. Every place is a different story, but there is something that joins them all. That spark that lives within them, that joy, that energy, that beauty that makes them all the same.

New York, the city that never sleeps. It might seem impossible but it's true. Endless traffic, endless tourists and endless places to go. Broadway, Times Square and Brooklyn just to name a few.

Paris, the city of lights. Walking down Champs Elysees with the Arc de Triumph lit in front. The Eiffel Tower, a beautiful light show no to miss. Macaroons, macaroons, o delicious macaroons. Of course, don;t forget our dear friend Mona Lisa. Paris, Paris, Paris, o so beautiful Paris.

London, London, London o dear London. That british accent, oh dear. London Eye, Big Ben, Buckingham Palace oh so much places to go. London Bridge, Picadilly Circus, Trafalgar Square, Tower Bridge, this could go on on.
